multi-path TCP performance
I am measuring the performance of one TCP connection over two symmetric paths. Packets are sent to two paths alternatively. I found that when the latency of each path are within 1ms, the overall TCP throughput is the *sum* of the throughput of the two paths. However, when the latency of the two paths increases to 5ms, the overal TCP throughput drops to the throughput of a *single* path. Has anyone

Hi all some how I'm getting confused: it seems I clobbered incoming calls from my sip provider. I can not imagine that my upgrade from 15.3 to 15.5 could be related I'm certain that dialling my own number, results in reaching asterisk, from my tcpdump. And on the asterisk console I get: pbx*CLI> == Using SIP RTP CoS mark 5 > 0x7f49ac54c040 -- Strict RTP learning after

My G729 problem re-visited
Ok, I built a test system to duplicate my problem and provide myself a platform that I can mess around with to try and break any features. My problem is G729 pass-through from a gateway to a phone. I think I even have transcoding working, which makes me more confused on what's wrong with my pass-through. It must be a configuration issue. The basics... *CLI> core show version Asterisk

network intermitent, not sure if virtualization issue
I have a computer I am using to host a virtual machine. Centos 6, for both, 64 bit. The host machine's network connection seems fine. No problems. Trying to access the virtual machine is usually fine. but then, poof, ssh, http, ftp, all lose connection for about a minute. Then they come back up. I looked in all the logs on both machines, could find nothing, but not sure where to look. My

Enterprise rails app with - about 100 tables
I''ve just started creating a web application with approx. 100 tables. Possibly more. Oracle is the DB. There exists a legacy schema I that i will use some of. So far i have created a small bit of the app, approx 10 tables. Im using webrick on my local machine. The Oracle DB is on its own server. My boss has noticed that its not really that zippy, there is a small delay between

[Bug 1127] New: running nft command creates lag for forwarded packets
...gh boxes have normally about 5ms latency. When running nft (regardless command for listing set with few items or with several thousand items) latencies go up to 30-100ms. This is observed when router throughput is from 600Mbps to 2Gbps. When throughput is about 300Mbps, latecies go up too, but to 8-12ms. Routers are using multiple NICs queues with affinity to CPU cores, maximum load when tests were performed was about 10-20%. Userspace processes (including nft) are affined to other cores than NICs queues. Older boxes with iptables but similar ruleset have no such behaviour. Running "iptable...
