errors: No known data errors
everything is great but I''ve made a mistake and I would like to remove
emcpower2a from my pool and I cannot do that...
Well the mistake that I made is that I did not format my device correctly so
instead of adding 125gig I added 128meg
here is my partition on that disk:
partition> print
Current partition table (original):
Total disk cylinders available: 63998 + 2 (reserved cylinders)

Samba setup
Hi all. I am a truly new to Samba so please bear with me while I ask a few questions. I am running a Pentium 366 Celeron, 128meg memory, Red Hat Linux 7.2, Linux 2.4.7-10, Samba 2.2.1a. I am running this much older version as the best book I have on Linux is "Ren Hat Linux 7.2 Bible" by Chris Negus. It is the most complete book I have so in order to have my experiments with Linux and Samba match the pictures ;-))...

Nasty ext3 errors 2.4.18
...'ve seen these on other systems running
2.4.18 and they don't seem to cause any problems (I think).
As I've mentioned I've seen the same behavior before on other systems,
the specs for all of them are:
Abit ST6 Motherboard with 1.2 Gig Celeron
2 x disks (varying sizes and makes)
128Meg Ram
AGP Graphics Card
Ethernet
Bt848 capture cards (2-3 depending on customer)
I'm really pulling my hair out - I don't know why they are doing this -
these are all on customer sites (they never go wrong in the office, each
one that have gone bad has been in different environments i.e. wa...

Will a VIA Epia ME6000 with a 600MHz Eden fanless CPU be suffiecient for 8 extension system?
Hello
I am using a VIA Epia ME6000 with a 600MHz Eden Fanless CPU. Is this likely
to be enough power for a 8 extension system with 6 external pstn lines?
How important is cpu? Is there some measure, eg xMHz CPU per extension or
something benchmark?
I have installed 512MB memory - again any benchmark for asterisk memory
usage?

calculating DNA mismatch distributions for large populations
...X)". Here, X is the the frequency of that
sequence index (and sequence) in the population. I try then to
repeat this for every sequence index present in the pop. My
plan was to then run table() on the resulting vector. As I
suspected, trying this with real data brought my 450Mhz/128Meg
RAM box to its knees and I never had the patience to wait for the
finished product. This effect is due to large amounts of memory
usage.
My question is: What is a more efficient (in terms of memory and/or
speed) way to solve this problem. Clearly, this partially brain-dead
biologist h...
