Unrelated (was RE: so-called-hang-on-exit)
"ssh -n ..." means ssh will close stdin and open /dev/null for stdin. It does not mean losing th eoutput of ssh.

iptables port forwarding
...em with 2 interfaces, BoxA:
eth0? 172.26.50.102
eth1? 192.101.77.62
My goal is to have a tcp port built on BoxA such that hosts on the 192.101.77.0/24 network can reach a port on a different box on the 172.26.0.0/16 network.
The target system is 172.26.10.120?? tcp/22
The port I wish to build is 12321.
The iptables rules I'm using:
iptables -A PREROUTING -t nat -i eth1 -p tcp --dport 12321 -j DNAT --to 172.26.10.120:22
It shows up when I query the rules:
boxA# iptables -L
Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT)
target???? prot opt source?????????????? destination??????? ?
Chain FORWARD (policy ACC...

Natural Search
Does anyone know what the best approach would be to do a search against
mutiple fields from one text string in a RoR app?
My client wants its user base to be able to issue a search like:
"Record Stores in 12321 Jazz"
So, esentially, the query would have to check a couple tables, and a
couple fields in each table.
Thanks for any help.

AudioCodes MP-104 MGCP?
...it, but
what I've tried just hasn't worked. Here's what I have:
-----
[general]
port = 2427
bindaddr = 0.0.0.0
[mp104-1]
host = 192.168.10.179
callgroup=1
context=default
callerid="Incoming Line 1"
line => aaln/1
-----
In the Asterisk CLI, I'm getting "NOTICE[12321]: chan_mgcp.c:1656
find_subchannel_and_lock: Gateway 'mp104-1' (and thus its endpoint '*')
does not exist"...several of them, every few minutes.
Is there someone out there who wouldn't mind sharing relevant sections
of the .conf files to get this thing *basically* workin...

usermonitor / user stamping active record
Quick question about userstamping records in a similar way to
timestamping. There is an example of how this might work at:
http://wiki.rubyonrails.org/rails/pages/Howto+Add+created_by+and+updated_by/versions/7
This seems to work fine on my development system. However, I am not
sure how the User.current_user method, which is required, can guarantee
to return the correct user since this is a

CD Burning with Wine?
...console I get "fixme: win32:DEVICE_Open
Unknown VxD CLONECD. Try --winver nt40 !" (which doesn't help,
incidentally).
So... is it even possible to run this program? I could always boot to
windows to copy my audio cd's, but that's no fun =)
Thanks for reading!
