Pioneer DVD-120s probe problem
Hello, I'm building a new system for a friend and I bought a Pioneer DVD-120s drive for him because it was a newer version of the drive I use (DVD-116) and my friend uses (DVD-106s) with FreeBSD. The problem is that FreeBSD cannot probe the drive for some reason. I've tried twiddling the ATAPI_DMA bit, rescanned the drive, and toyed with the cable, but nothing seem...

wich filesystem to store > 250E6 small files in same or hashed dire
...000 but I had to stop the script to create these dir after hours and "rm -rf" would have taken days ! mkfs was my friend I tried two levels, first of 4096 dir, second of 64 dir. The creation of the hash dir took "only" few minutes, but copying 10000 files make my HD scream for 120s ! I take only 10s when working in the same directory. The filenames are all 27 chars and the first chars can be used to hash the files. My question is : Which filesystem and how to store these files ? Node Recovery locks I/O in two-node OCFS2 cluster (DRBD 8.3.8 / Ubuntu 10.10)
I am running a two-node web cluster on OCFS2 via DRBD Primary/Primary (v8.3.8) and Pacemaker. Everything seems to be working great, except during testing of hard-boot scenarios. Whenever I hard-boot one of the nodes, the other node is successfully fenced and marked ?Outdated? * <resource minor="0" cs="WFConnection" ro1="Primary" ro2="Unknown"

Pickup() ringing extension and call waiting
Hi All, I'm using Asterisk 1.2.14 under openSuSE 10.2 with kernel 2.6.18. I have Wildcard TDM400P card and D-Link DPH-120S and DPH-140S SIP phones. I would like to be able to pickup ringing extention from any SIP phone using Pickup() application. from my dial plan: [incoming] exten => s,1,Dial(SIP/somebody1|60|tTrR) [internal] include => outbound-local include => parkedcalls exten => 200,1,Dial(SIP/...

Update peer IP address
...re removed after 180s already. So at first I raised net.netfilter.nf_conntrack_udp_timeout_stream to 500. That worked. But I didn't really want to raise the default. So instead I added "qualify=yes" to the dtag_inbound peer. Now asterisk is sending an OPTIONS request to Telekom every 120s (I raised the frequency from 60 to 120 by setting "qualifyfreq=120" under [general]), which keeps the connection open. Just wanted to add that. Kind regards, Sebastian > > I have now the following addition to sip.conf. I think it is the only > > safe option. Or what would y...

Problem with cloud-init on re-boot
When I re-boot my CentOS 7 machine I get lots of error/warning messages like the following: ------------------------------ Jan 1 14:39:04 alfred cloud-init: 2016-01-01 14:39:04,351 - url_helper.py[WARNING]: Calling 'http://169.254.169.254/2009-04-04/meta-data/instance-id' failed [2/120s]: unexpected error ['NoneType' object has no attribute 'status_code'] ------------------------------ Re-booting with the current kernel, 3.10.0-327.22.2.el7.x86_64, sometimes fails, I think because of this problem, although the previous kernel seems to avoid the issue. Mappery : uncertain Thinkpads (Repost?)
Followups set, hesitantly, to gmane.linux.redhat.fedora.general I thought I had posted this to both these groups, but my newsreader doesn't show it in either. I have three Garmin GPSs (an Etrex Vista and two Rino 120s), which I want to use under Fedora 11 Linux with four PCs, and two IBM- reconditioned Thinkpads, T30 & T42. Garmin software suites (Metroguide USA and Topo US 2008) are installed on all the computers; both of them launch and run under Wine on all six. Both of them also connect, consistentl...

Btrfs: blocked for more than 120 seconds, made worse by 3.2 rc7
Hello all: I have two machines with btrfs, that give me the "blocked for more than 120 seconds" message. After that I cannot write anything to disk, i am unable to unmount the btrfs filesystem and i can only reboot with sysrq-trigger. It always happens when i write many files with rsync over network. When i used 3.2rc6 it happened randomly on both machines after 50-500gb of writes.

FNIC nested PVM
...gets as far as ''Detecting hardware'' and hangs - and an Ubuntu Xen install attaches to blkback and the provides a countdown as it waits for the hardware to settle/be available. At this point, I start to receive messages from the HVM layer about multipath seeing paths down, and 120s later the OVM instance is rebooted due to OCFS2 heartbeat issues. I''m hoping, this weekend, to use a more recent Xen install rather than the bundled one in OVM to do this without the Oracle specific parts being relevant, but I wondered if anyone had experienced this (or a similar) prob...
