Audiocodes MP-11X configuration to work with Asterisk
I'm trying to get a MP-114 FXS/FXO gateway working with Asterisk. It
registers fine and I can call between the MP-114 and other extensions,
but I'm not having much luck with the FXO ports. syslog shows the
problem to be in the MP-114 configuration.
Can anyone help?

Error code query (PR#13360)
Hi
I'm working on installing R and Rcmdr on a Mac running Leopard. I've
had it running in the past and had to reinstall 11X iwhen putting some
notes together for students. To get screen shots I reinstalled 11X
without unstalling it first.
Having loaded the additional packages with Rcmdr, when I try to open
Rcmdr I now get the following error messages:

Using polyphase lowpass filter, transition band: 16538 Hz - 17071 Hz

Here's the really funny thing: THE FILE EXISTS!
OK, so I re-install libogg, libvorbis, every library I could think of,
re-installed ezstream itself (and Ices-CC, too, just in case), got it
all nice and clean, then tried it again....

weird bug with Seagate 3TB USB3 drive
Banging my head against a Seagate 3TB USB3 drive.
Its marketing name is:
Seagate Expansion 3 TB USB 3.0 Desktop External Hard Drive STAY3000102
format(1M) shows it identify itself as:
Seagate-External-SG11-2.73TB
Under both Solaris 10 and Solaris 11x, I receive the evil message:
| I/O request is not aligned with 4096 disk sector size.
| It is handled through Read Modify Write but the performance is very low.
However, that''s not my big issue as I will use the zpool-12 hack.
My big issue is that once I zpool(1M) export the pool from

The compile times with optzns are 26% slower than stock dragonegg
but 12% faster than stock gcc 4.5.4. The most interesting executable
size difference is gas_dyn which fastest with optzns but 11x larger
in size with stock gcc 4.5.4 compared to either stock dragonegg or
dragonegg with optzns. This is likely much improved in gcc 4.6 with
the new -fwhole-file default.

converting BMDP 8V mixed model treatment to R ?

(Of course, it is not my goal to end there. I want to get access to the
advanced flexibility of a more modern treatment.) Here is the problem
statement in BMDP control language:

variables=4.
file='latm.dat'.
format='11x,f7.0,f7.0,f12.4,f10.0'.
/variables names=
llat,rlat,vg,diff.

names = pers,retest,direct,flicker,ground.
random = pers.
fixed = retest,ground,direct,flicker.
model = 'P,R,G,D,F'.
/end.
/finish.
I tried in R (some minor differences in variable naming):...

ogg vorbis runs fine on the Plan 9 OS

and it sounds great.
BTW, one question, my Ipaq has serious problems trying to
run the decoder_example locally (has an ARM with no FPU).
Any suggestion so I could run the decoder inside the Ipaq?
Any of you know how to encode at a lower bit rate, I tried `32' but
it keeps insisting on 11X.?
thanks

a fast table() for the 1D case
Hi,
table1D() below can be up to 60x faster than base::table() for the 1D
case. Here are the detailed speedups compared to base::table().
o With a logical vector of length 5M: 11x faster
(or more if 'useNA="always"')
o With factor/integer/numeric/character of length 1M and 9 levels
(or 9 distinct values for non-factors):
- factor: 60x faster
- integer/numeric vector:...

breaking DNID into country code, area code, and local code
Dear friends,
I am wondering if there is any efficient way of extract the country code,
area code, and local code into 3 different variables from one DNID that can
look like 001630233-4333 or 0086213345333?
International code can be 011, or 00.
National code can be 0 or 1
Country code can have 2 or 3 digits
Area code can have 2 or 3 digits
Local num can be 7-10 digits
Is there anyway to break

[LLVMdev] -fplugin-arg-dragonegg-enable-gcc-optzns status
Hi Jack, thanks for these numbers. Can you also please measure compile times?
I'm thinking of enabling gcc optimizations by default, but I don't want to
increase compile times, which means choosing a value for the
-fplugin-arg-dragonegg-llvm-ir-optimize option that is low enough to get good
compile times, yet high enough to get fast code. It would be great if you could
play around with

HVM WinXP dom crash
Hi
Trying to get WinXP HVM to install as domU on AMD. Got latest Xen Kernel and Xen package (NOT unstable or debug).
When start, a window pops up for few seconds.. then it dies and another one comes up... and it disappears too. (Xen is trying to restart and giving up because the restart happens in 2 seconds..) It seems DomU is not able to read/understand something from Cirrus VGABIOS.
