EXT4 mount issue
...in the system logs. My confusion is why are they mounted without a journal? They were both created with mkfs -t ext4 /dev/sdb mkfs -t ext4 /dev/sdc and mounted in "/etc/fstab" with /dev/sdb /sraid3 ext4 defaults 1 2 /dev/sdc /sraid4 ext4 defaults 1 2 both are 11T and so I would prefer as much stability as possible, io performance is not an issue on either device just integrity so I thought the journal would be default and necessary. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Steve -- Dr Stephen Brooks http://www-solar.mcs.st-and.ac.uk/ Solar MHD Theo...

Polycom Dialplan Digitmaps
I'm replacing a SoundPoint IP 600 with a SoundPoint IP 650. I attempted to simply reuse the existing config files for the old phone on the new phone, but the new phone would lock up on the 4th digit when attempted to dial out certain numbers. So, I downloaded the newest firmware and config templates from Polycom, and attempted to migrate the settings. Seems I'm missing something from

...ricks which are not in (cluster-wide) quorum refuse to accept writes? My bricks are 2x850G and 4x11T, so I can repurpose the small bricks as arbiters with minimal effect on capacity. What would be the sequence of commands needed to: 1) Move all data off of bricks 1 & 2 2) Remove that replica from the cluster 3) Re-add those two bricks as arbiters (And did I miss any additional steps?) EXT4 status for centos 5.3
Hi, I was wondering what is the current status fro ext4 support in Centos. I've noticed that is marked as dev when I try to use it from the installer. Does anybody have a scary story to prevent using it? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Sluggish server with big array
...it Ethernet (rev 10) 05:00.0 RAID bus controller: LSI Logic / Symbios Logic MegaRAID SAS 2208 [Thunderbolt] (rev 01) I have KVM/QEMU running 3 VMs: 2 stored in the 500 gigs array and one on the 11 TB array. I have a couple of samba shares from the 11 TB array (all of them are on the 11TB array). The strange behavior is that if i "ls -al /home/data", i have to wait 7-8 seconds to see the output. If i do a simple ls, output is instantaneous. I see about the same delay when i access the samba shares from the server (related ?). I don't know where to start with th...

Rebuild of kernel 2.6.9-67.0.20.EL failure
Hello list. I'm trying to rebuild the 2.6.9.67.0.20.EL kernel, but it fails even without modifications. How did I try it? Created a (non-root) build environment (not a mock ) Installed the kernel.scr.rpm and did a rpmbuild -ba --target=`uname -m` kernel-2.6.spec 2> prep-err.log | tee prep-out.log The build failed at the end: Processing files: kernel-xenU-devel-2.6.9-67.0.20.EL Checking
