I have a CentOS 5.2 install on a machine with the Marvell nic issue outlined in http://bugs.centos.org/view.php?id=2612. I have a few questions regarding this, what does the # echo "11ab 4364" > /sys/bus/pci/drivers/sky2/new_id line do? Obviously it starts right after but what specifically is the "11ab 4364" part? Also, how do I get this to load across reboots? I have the alias and module in my modprobe.conf but that is not enough. Thanks, jlc

Every day we see pause times of sometime 60 seconds to read 1K of a file for local reads as well as NFS in a test setup. We have a x4500 setup as a single 4*( raid2z 9 + 2)+2 spare pool and have the files system mounted over v5 krb5 NFS and accessed directly. The pool is a 20TB pool and is using . There are three filesystems, backup, test and home. Test has about 20 million files and uses 4TB.

I was messing around with a ramdisk on a pool and I forgot to remove it before I shut down the server. Now I am not able to mount the pool. Me again. The ASUS P5N32-SLI motherboard in my new machine has dual NICs but CentOS has only detected one of them. I've tried rebooting with the network plugged in only to the second one, but kudzu still doesn't find it. Any suggestions?

This must be resliver day :) I just had a drive failure. The hot spare kicked in, and access to the pool over NFS was effectively zero for about 45 minutes.
