Compiling Samba For OPENLinux 3.1.1
Hello. I am looking to get the parameters that the Caldera RPM was made with. I have noticed that it is not being updated and would like to get the current ver. on my system, but need to have the same links to various files. Can anyone help me to find the parameters? I would be interested in making the RPMs but need to know how to make them first, maybe some direction to info on making RPMs.

Subsetting a large number into smaller numbers and find the largest product
Hello, I have a big number lets say of around hundred digits. I want to subset that big number into consecutive number of 5 digits and find the product of those 5 digits. For example my first 5 digit number would be 73167. I need to check the product of the individual numbers in 73167 and so on. The sample number is as follows:

Hi, i am pretty new at ruby on rails and such, and i was hoping someone could give me a good reference at caching. i am on my way to creating a dynamic/updating news website, and i was wondering where i could use caching to bring better performance to the application. where i would use page caching, where i would use fragmented caching, how to avoid caching-mixups when needed sql calls, etc.

Problems setting up Samba-3 as PDC
...ime since I administered Samba, so please bear with me :-) I need to setup a PDC on Samba 3. To achieve this I followed the steps described on the Samba docs and on some other websites I found after googling for a while. Shorewall on a file/webserver/router Help
Hi, I have a install of shorewall I have 2 interfaces(I think) ppp0[connection device] and eth0 [LAN device], I want to allow all traffic from the the internet in or aleast port 80 and CVS and webmin and mail and everything normal to the main machine with shorewall on it. I changed to policy file but it just gave me errors as to double interfaces. I also what still to alow connection sharing

Hi all, I still have problems with my nt authentication on linux. My problems start when compiling --with-pam This is the output, i can't figure out why i get the error.
