how to match or merge data.frames in this case...
Hi,
I'm trying to match two data frames in order to replace the boundary values
in a dataframe.1 with values in dataframe.2 ONLY where the pair id1 id2
matches between the two data frames.
Eg.

messages_count too large (1121 > 1115)
I've seen this was mentioned before but remains unsolved. I upgraded
Dovecot from 0.99 to v1.0.alpha4 yesterday and it rendered my inbox
inaccessible:
Dec 15 00:09:07 sand dovecot: imap(willers): Corrupted index file
/home/willers/mail/.imap/INBOX/dovecot.index: messages_count too large
(1121 > 1115)
I've since moved that inbox away so I can view my new mail again. The
error has moved with the mbox file:
Dec 15 00:27:41 sand dovecot: imap(willers): Corrupted index file
/home/willers/mail/old-inbox/.imap/200407-200512/dovecot.index:

Yes, this is true, on windows I will stop this service.
But my problem now is another
The samba command
samba_dnsupdate --verbose --all-names --fail-immediately
not work
It's possible to resolve this

More efficient way to use ifelse()?
...You would like to assign a particular value to each level of
population (in this case the elevation at which they were collected).
In a vectorized approach (for speed... pretend this was a big data
set..)
elevation <- ifelse(Population=="CO", 2169,
ifelse(Population=="CN", 1121,
ifelse(Population=="Ga", 500,
ifelse(Population=="KO", 2500,
ifelse(Population=="Mw", 625,
ifelse(Population=="Ng", 300, NA ))))))
# Which is fine, but is a pain to write...
# So I was trying to think about how to vectorize directly....

to break this dependency or carry this dependency to the Machine library as
well?

Samba4 gid-to-sid question
...nd then add a posix-ifed domain user to it. The AD doco defines two
sorts of SID. Ones that change, and ones that don't.
Here is a search on our posix-ified group:
ldbsearch --url=/usr/local/samba/private/idmap.ldb 'xidnumber=3000012'
objectSid: S-1-5-21-980186919-4150830324-975011627-1121
We set the primaryGroupID of the user to 1121, his gidNumber to 3000012
and his uidNumber from wbinfo. He becomes visible to Linux via
nss-ldapd, whilst retaing his Domain User status on the windows side:-)
My question is, to which category of SID does

I even tried manually allocating a uid- the tdb file gets updated in the
