hi,
I can't compile DoveCot 2.0.19 with dbox enabled on our Solaris 10/U9:

Running on Dell hardware?
I have a Dell R710 which has been flaky for some time. It crashes about
once per week. I have literally replaced every piece of hardware in it, and
reinstalled Sol 10u9 fresh and clean.
I am wondering if other people out there are using Dell hardware, with what
degree of success, and in what configuration?
The failure seems to be related to the perc 6i. For some period around the
time of crash, the system still responds to ping, and anything currently i...

Space usage
I''m just uploading all my data to my server and the space used is much more than what i''m uploading;
Documents = 147MB
Videos = 11G
Software= 1.4G
By my calculations, that equals 12.547T, yet zpool list is showing 21G as being allocated;

Faulted Pool Question
...n''t want to have to restore the data
from the backup (a ZFS send / recv replica at the other end of a 100
Mbps pipe), but we can if we cannot recover the data in the zpool.
So what is the best option here ?
And why isn''t the zpool online returning ? The system is running
10U9 with (I think) the September 2010 CPU and a couple multipathing /
SAS / SATA point patches (for a MPxIO and SATA bug we found). zpool
version is 22 zfs version is either 4 or 5 (I forget which). We are
moving off of the 3511s and onto a stack of five J4400 with 750 GB
SATA drives, but we aren'&...

Quota information from nfs mounting linux client
We are using zfs (solaris 10u9) to serve disk to a couple of hundred linux clients via nfs. We would like users on the linux clients to be able to monitor their disk space on the zfs file system. They do not have shell. accounts on the fileserver. Is the quota information on the fileserver (user and group) available to be read...

ZFS recovery tools
Hi,
I have just recovered from a ZFS crash. During the antagonizing time this took, I was surprised to
learn how undocumented the tools and options for ZFS recovery we''re. I managed to recover thanks
to some great forum posts from Victor Latushkin, however without his posts I would still be crying
at night...
I think the worst example is the zdb man page, which all it does is to ask you

SATA disk perf question
...ST31000N in a J4400) ? I have a resilver running and am
seeing about 700-800 writes/sec. on the hot spare as it resilvers.
There is no other I/O activity on this box, as this is a remote
replication target for production data. I have a the replication
disabled until the resilver completes.

ZFS send/receive to Solaris/FBSD/OpenIndiana/Nexenta VM guest?
Hello,
I''m debating an OS change and also thinking about my options for data
migration to my next server, whether it is on new or the same hardware.
Migrating to a new machine I understand is a simple matter of ZFS
send/receive, but reformatting the existing drives to host my existing
data is an area I''d like to learn a little more about. In the past I''ve
asked about

SCSI write retry errors on ZIL SSD drives...
I posted a thread on this once long ago[1] -- but we''re still fighting
with this problem and I wanted to throw it out here again.
All of our hardware is from Silicon Mechanics (SuperMicro chassis and
motherboards).
Up until now, all of the hardware has had a single 24-disk expander /
backplane -- but we recently got one of the new SC847-based models with
24 disks up front and 12 in the

It has been over 3 weeks now, with no crashes, and me doing everything I
can to get it to crash again. So I''m going to call this one resolved...
Tentatively acknowledging the remote possibility that the problem could
still come back.
All I did was disable the built-in...

Disk failure chokes all the disks attached to the failing disk HBA
Dear All,
It may be this not the correct mailing list, but I''m having a ZFS issue
when a disk is failing.
The system is a supermicro motherboard X8DTH-6F in a 4U chassis
(SC847E1-R1400LPB) and an external SAS2 JBOD (SC847E16-RJBOD1).
It makes a system with a total of 4 backplanes (2x SAS + 2x SAS2) each
of them connected to a 4 different HBA (2x LSI 3081E-R (1068 chip) + 2x
