Ext matching problems
...al from any of the ext. to '0' It actually matches the
'0', plays the goodbye message, but doesn't hangup but gets directly to
the 'pasvalide' context. Same thing happens when I dial to the ext. 1002
(the one that doesn't have voicemail), either it rings further than
10secs or it's busy, it does not hangup but gets straight to the
'pasvalide' context. As far as I understood, it should not happen, it
should go through the dialplan leaving those context included at the end
and in the orther they are included.

Slow Samba Printer initialisation, status, and printing
...ppears in the nmbd log:
[2002/09/02 16:11:35, 0]
nmbd/nmbd_responserecordsdb.c:find_response_record(235)
find_response_record: response packet id 31803 received with no matching
record.
But this only shows when server is started.
The initial browse to host and open also takes a fair while (~10secs), are
these delays normal ? Is there something I've configure wrong ?
Any all help appreciated.
checkpc produces no errors, and lprng directly from the server to the
printers takes neglible time (less than 3 secs to printer receiving data).

Why you MUST use SCGI for Rails development
Hello happy Railers,
I used to develop with a local out-of-the-box Apache and load times were
pretty slow (like a few seconds each page). "Well, it''s the price to
pay for no compile / cache / etc..." I thought. Nonsense. Yesterday I
installed SCGI, and now I''ve got the best of both worlds: rails
development env uses my very latest modifications, while SCGI ensures I

Applying a function to each element of an array
Hi,
I have a 7000x7000 matrix, and each element is an integer. For each element, I want to apply the function :
wt <- 0
for(q in 1:count){
wt <- wt + 0.5^(q-1)
}
I get the value of 'count' from the elements in the matrix , and want to store the corresponding 'wt' value for that element.
I suppose I could loop through the matrix, and apply the function to each
