I've found the default 10min bans hardly bother some attackers.
So I've added the "recidive" feature of fail2ban. After the
second 10min ban, the attacker is blocked for 1 week.

Record call ends in 10min
In my context I have:
exten => _NXXXXXX,1,Set(CHANNEL(musicclass)=default)
exten => _NXXXXXX,n,Set(recordfilename=${CALLERID(num)}-${EXTEN}-${STRFTIME(${EPOCH},MST,%C%y-%m-%d-%H%M)}.wav)
exten => _NXXXXXX,n,MixMonitor(${recordfilename},b)
but the recorded conversation ended in 10min so it = 600sec
I was looking in asterisk configuration file for "600" pertaining recording but I couldn't fine any.

Replicating SIP registration Info between active to standby
I have a scenario whereby two servers are acting in active-standby mode.
In case the active server fail, the shared IP is activated on standby
server for continuity.
However, SIP phones (all are Polycom) takes quite a long time to register
to the Standby Server (up to 1-10min). While Polycom allow double
registration, we would like to make it simple by provision only one
registration server at a time.
How can I copy sip registration information from Active Server to Standby

Kernel not mounting root
...oted a new
kernel then buildworld.
Then I noticed that my PS/2 keyboard is not working at the loader menu
so I booted multiuser and did the make installworld part from there.
Then I tried to reboot but now it hangs after the line
Trying to mount root from ufs:/dev/ad4s1a
It sits there for at least 10min. I tried so far:
- Installing 7.1-beta2 on another hd and booting it, it works.
- Copied that kernel to the old hd
- Moved kernel.old to kernel
- fsck everything
- mounted everything from the old hd under /mnt, chroot into that, installworld
Anyone else seeing this or has an idea what to do next?...

Server dies after kernel upgrade
...ate on the kernel to update it to a newer version "2.6.32-358.11.1.el6".
It will not restart after the required reboot. It will start to load until the task bar at the bottom gets to the end than it stops loading I have been patient with it unless it requires more time to start but after 10min it was still just sitting at the task bar.
This is a VM machine so I just revert to a previous snapshot, but what should I be looking for that would cause this, and how should I fix it?
Thanks,
Chris

Is that an efficient way to find the overlapped , upstream and downstream ranges for a bunch of ranges
...(1:100, function(idx) find_overlapped_gene(idx, all_genes_gr)))
However, for 100 genes, it use nearly ~8s by system.time().That means if I had 50000 genes, nearly one hour for just find overlapped gene.
I am just wondering any algorithm or strategy to do that efficiently, perhaps 50000 genes in ~10min or even less

How to set macaddr with nmcli
...on 3COM 3C501C boards because the
old board died and we had software licensed to specific MAC addresses.?
So you had to specify your MAC address in the config file.? The DEC
admin had to do a similar thing if he had to swap out his LAN card
(related: read up on why Dr. Comer set ARP timeout to 10min).
Then there was that counterfeit 3C503C from Malaysia, all with the same
MAC address.? Caused havoc on the networks.? EVERYONE had to specify
their MAC address with those.? 3COM did find the plant making these
clones and shut them down.? But the damage was done to a lot of us.

expand gridded matrix to higher resolution
Hi all,
(if me email goes out as html, than my email client don't do as told, and I apologies already.)
We need to downscale climate data and therefore first need to expand the climate from 0.5deg to the higher resolution 10min, before we can add high resolution deviations. We basically need to have the original data at each gridcell replicated into 3x3 gridcells.
A simple for loop can do this, but I could need a faster procedure. Anybody know a faster way? Is there package than can do what we need already?
I tried matri...

It should only take a few seconds, so there is something wrong there.

Yes please, I might not be able to see what is wrong, but there are a

We run a cron script each 10min who will check the registration state
and send a register if not registered.

trend test for frequencies
Hi,
which test do I have to use if I want to test if the following data follow a monotone trend;
0min 5min 10min 20min 30min
5 20 55 70 90
... where the dependent variable contains frequencies.
And how is that implemented in R?
thanks for any help (on this more statistical-question ...).

- POP3 idle timeouts changed to 10min
I just wrote a simple stress test tool for IMAP and I've had one for
POP3 for some months. The IMAP stress test was very helpful in finding
out the bugs I fixed today. If anyone wants to try them, they're in:
