FW: Is OCFS 2 certified for Oracle Application Server Ver.10g
Hi,
I would like to share a file system (OCFS2) in a shared disk in the SAN for Oracle application servers 10g to share same volume between all Oracle Application servers.
I am not sure Is OCFS 2 certified for OAS 10g? I have been using OCFS 2 for Oracle RAC 10g Database which is certified. Pls give your suggestion. All servers are SLES 10 SP2 with Oracle Application Server 10g.

xc_dom_create.py cpu flag
...et cpu gets a usage message, because the C flag is not in
the getopt list.
When I add C to getopt and use -C on the cmd line, all is well.
Is the default of round-robin cpu assignment going away?

Can't copy large files to Windows with SMB2/3 on 10G network
We have a 10G network with a mix of Windows 10 and MacOS 10.12 machines,
and a CentOS 7 machine.
Copying large files "fast" from the CentOS machine to Windows, using
SMB2 or SMB3 fails almost every time, at the end of the copy.
- With SMB1, it seems to work, but is much slower.
- Copying to a smb sh...

Error in building ROracle in Windows with R 2.6.2 and Oracle 10g.
Hi,
I am new to R. I need to communicate with Oracle from R program in windows
xp. So I am planning to use ROracle. I downloaded the ROracle src from the
site below:
http://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/ROracle/index.html
I am using R version 2.6.2 and Oracle 10g. I followed the instructions to
build ROracle. When I try to compile the source src/Makefile.win I get the
following error:
NMAKE : fatal error U1073: don't know how to make
'c:\\PROGRA~1\\R\\R-2.6.2\\src\\gnuwin32\\Rdll.lib'
I could figure out what is the purpose of 'Rdll.l...

OCFS - Automounts
Greetings, I installed RedHat Linux AS version 3/Update 3 over the
weekend, along with ocfs RPMs that are listed below:
ocfs-2.4.21-EL-smp-1.0.13-1.i686.rpm
ocfs-support-1.0.10-1.i386.rpm
ocfs-tools-1.0.10-1.i386.rpm
Oracle 10g was then installed on the systems.
On both the test cluster that I used and the production cluster that I
installed over the weekend are some pretty strange lines inserted into
the /var/log/messages file.

Renaming NIC name in CentOS 7
All,
I am trying to understand better how you give an interface a more descriptive name and get it all working without a reboot, if possible.
We have 1G and 10G interfaces, and I?m trying to use names like 1G-internal, 1G-external, 10G-private, etc. When I boot up, it?s all fine, but if I add one I?m not sure if there is a way to avoid the reboot? For example, I added the 10G interface names this week.
Specifically, is there a way to change the network i...

name manually. Perhaps change the name from "default" to something like
"Type Network Name"?
4. Looks like there is no way to type a pool name to export to (if I
select libvirt) or am I missing something? (let's say I have a pool called
NAS-10G). In the -os field I'm trying to put the NAS-10G (as the virt-v2v
man page suggests), but this seems not work.
5. Is there a way to access the ncurses mode? (for some really old
machines who don't respect VESA).
Thanks,

samba 4.x slow ...
just to verify basic facts:
Did you cross check vie network sniff, on which SMB protocol versions Server + Win 7 clients agree ?
Or did you pin down via registry ?
AFAIK only starting with win 8 or win 10 clients you could ask with powershell, which protocol version is in use.
Did you also cross check samba logs for a name resolution issue ( windows names, not DNS)
if one of your boxes is an
