Samba 4.2.0 fails to start if domain was provisioned by classicupgrade
...ation, even with the level set to 3 or higher. The only thing I can find is a reference to winbindd failing. "Failed to fetch our own, local AD domain join password for winbindd's internal use" The problem appears to be the same as this bug. https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10991 In fact, If I set "server services = +winbind -winbindd", Samba does start and appears to function correctly. That said, I am very leery of deploying 4.2 at this time, knowing this bug exists. Our goal this past weekend was to upgrade our DC to 4.2 and deploy a secondary here at our main...

winbindd: Failed to fetch our own, local AD domain join password for winbindd's internal use
...o, I apologize in advance for cross-posting (and posting for help) to samba-technical, but I've been seeking help on the samba list and bugzilla since last week and have had no replies. Using Google, I've found this issue referenced only once on the mailing list and once in a bugzilla bug (10991). Unfortunately, I've found no resolutions. The problem appears to be specific to Samba 4.2, where domains were provisioned using classicupgrade. In my case, the classicupgrade provision was performed just a few weeks after 4.0.0 was released, going from version 3.6.x > 4.0.0. I have since...

What exactly is an dgCMatrix-class. There are so many attributes.
Dear R list, I came across dgCMatrix. I believe this class is associated with sparse matrix. I see there are 8 attributes to train$data, I am confused why are there so many, some are vectors, what do they do? Here's the R code: library(xgboost) data(agaricus.train, package='xgboost') data(agaricus.test, package='xgboost') train <- agaricus.train test <- agaricus.test

Samba 4.2.x and Fedora 22 (possibly 21 as well) doesn't open kerberos or ldap ports for listening
I compile my own Samba. I have since 4.x was in alpha. I do this because of Fedora's decision to not support Samba out of the box with full functionality (due to MIT vs. Heimdal which I don't understand, but I am sure there are reasons for it). 4.1.x and 4.0.x compiled and worked fine. Starting with 4.2.x I have not been able to get a working install. I have at least the following

why is ActiveRecord tying to select nonex ID column?
...#39;m inhibiting the generation of the id column -- the uniqueness of a metered_usage is defined by its foreign keys. The call that generated the error was an ActiveRecord#update(): active_record.update_attributes(attributes) where attributes (in this instance) were: {:start_time_id=>10991, :end_time_id=>11021, :service_address_id=>46, :metered_service_id=>97, :quantity=>"119700", :cost=>"12603.46"} So the question is: why would ActiveRecord#update() generate SQL referring to the non-existent id column? And how do I make it stop? - ff -- Posted...
