Hey Richard,
Could you share the following informations please?
1. gluster volume info <volname>
2. getfattr output of that file from all the bricks
getfattr -d -e hex -m . <brickpath/filepath>
3. glustershd & glfsheal logs

On a side note, try recently released health report tool, and see if it
does diagnose any issues in setup. Currently you may have to run it in all
the three machines.

Gluster endless heal
...e, self heal triggered and it just did not stop afterward, it's been running for 3 days now, maxing the bricks utilization without actually healing anything.
The bricks are all SSDs, and the logs of the source node is spamming with the following messages;

GFID attir is missing after adding large amounts of data

We repeated this scenario a second time with a fresh setup and got the same results.
Does anyone know what we are doing wrong ?
Is there maybe a problem with glusterfs and tar ?
