Hmm. I learned about vfs_btrfs now and set up a test share using this module. Doesn't change the display of free space in windows. I set a btrfs quota of 2GB on the shell, but there are still terabytes of free space visible in windows explorer....

Fw: Btrfs Samba and Quotas
....c:461(sys_get_quota) May 12 09:34:06 homeserver smbd[4116]: sys_path_to_bdev() failed for path [Hendrik]! As you can see, this is quite frequent. Searching for this, I find some bug-reports: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/samba/+bug/1735953 https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10541 Now, I am sure that I am not the first to use Samba with btrfs. What's special about me? How's your experience? Greetings, Hendrik

Solve equations
Hello, I have a system of five equations to solve with five 'unknows'(V, W, X, Y and Z) and constraints. The equations are: 0.007= 2VZ 0.03= W(Y+Z) 0.034= X(y+Z) 0.013 = (X+W)Y +(X-W)Z X = W+V Constraints: 0<V<W<X 0<Y<Z<1 Does anyone know a R-package to solve this system? Thanks, E-mail: sebastien.puechmaille at ucd.ie

Coppermine Photo Gallery Integration
I have a RoR app that currently uses file_column for image upload and display. The app is part of a website that uses CPG for running a photo gallery, and I''d like to know if anyone has interfaced a RoR app to CPG by any chance. I want to dump file_column and let CPG handle my images. -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

This Bug is now celebrating its 5th aniversary. > https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10541 That's because the concept of a btrfs "subvolume" completely breaks the POSIX idioms that smbd depends on. We absolutely identify a file by a dev/ino pair, and expect the dev to remain consistent under an exported share path. If you sub-mount this also breaks smbd dfree/quotas, and...

btrfs and quotas: best practice?
today I migrated a customer to a new samba-domain-member/file-server The main shares are based on btrfs-subvolumes. The admin there wants to limit the visible space to discipline the users ... I created a quota group in btrfs and set a limit, but this is not reflected in the properties of the connected samba-share in windows. Is there a recommended way to achieve this? I want to set and

This Bug is now celebrating its 5th aniversary. > https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10541 That sort of says a lot, if it was that big a problem and multiple users were complaining, then it probably would get fixed, but there are only so many developers and they have only so much time available to fix things and add new features, so the most important things get fixed first.
