Dovecot SLOW in imaptest without any apparent reason

relation between burst- and queue-size with low bitrate streams
...l, I have a question about the relationship between the "queue-size" and the "burst-size" <limits> parameters. Q: When a client connects is the burst-size immediately added to the queue-size? If this is the case then the slack for a 16kpbs client goes down from 50 sec (102400[queue-size] / 16kbps = 50 sec) to 18 seconds ( (102400 - 65536[burst-size]) / 16kpbs = 18 sec). I'm experiencing quite a few of the following lines in the DEBUG logging. It could be that the clients are really running too slowly, but chewing 32secs of the slack probably woudn't help either...

Error in IMAP command UID
I get this error with some messages in my inbox: The current command did not succeed. The mailserver responded: Error in IMAP command UID: Invalid BODY[..] parameter: Missing '>' in <102400.-100124> The <102400.-100124> at the end depends on the message. Client is Mozilla Thunderbird 0.8 using imaps. Server is Dovecot 1.0-test47. Is this a bug or did I configure something wrong? Jan Kuipers Systemadministrator Lauwers College

Block Groups and Large Filesystems
...ting a large ext3 filesystem on an LVM volume, on top of a RAID1 for storing Norton Ghost disk images. Most of the files created will be between 1 and 10 GB; there may also be occasional small files also. I'm already going to reduce the number of inodes on the filesystem. Probably limit it to 102400 or so. `mke2fs --help` reports a "-g blocks_per_group" option, but the man page has no documentation on this. When I try to use it, any value I've specified returns "mke2fs: blocks per group count out of range" Can I use this option to make larger block groups, which shou...

lustre quota problems
Hello, I''ve several problems with quota on our testcluster: When I set the quota for a person to a given value (e.g. the values which are provided in the operations manual), I''m able to write exact the amount which is set with setquota. But when I delete the files(file) I''m not able to use this space again. Here is what I''ve done in detail: lfs checkquota

[PATCH 0/1] Fix OVA import with libvirt backend
I've sent a patch to libvirt that should fix our problem with 'raw' driver that is mentioned in [1]. The libvirt patch is here [2]. However, to realy fix things, there is at least one thing we have to change on our side. We have to be explicit about the driver in the JSON we generate. Note that the libvirt patch has not yet been reviewed nor merged, so this may not be the only thing

Every song, sometimes every two songs my playler lost the connection to the stream and in DEBUG-Mode I found a logfileentry like: DBUG source/send_to_listener Client has fallen too far behind, removing. I changed the queue-size in icecast.xml from 102400 to 902400 (don't know if it is a good value) but the only result is the interrupt occur some songs later. I'm realy confused, cause it is not my first icecast-setup and on an other server I've installed the same: Icecast 2.1.0 (ok nearly the same) and ices.0.4. The config-files are...
