help with tinc unstable state
...down tinc on all hosts and restarting seemed to do the trick, but I'd like to see if there is something that I can change with the configuration to mitigate this. OpenSSH 9.6 client is stuck
I am trying to run ssh to a server continuously and quickly. Out of about 10-12 times of good run or result, once the client gets stuck. It does not connect. This we are observing after upgrading both the server and client to OpenSSL 9.6p1. We are running this cmd on the client side: ssh -vvv -p 1022 -o UserKnownHostsFile=/dev/null -o GSSAPIAuthentication=no -o StrictHostKeyChecking=no -o ConnectTimeout=60 -o PubkeyAuthentication=yes -o PreferredAuthentications=publickey -o ServerAliveInterval=60 -i /root/id_rsa root at 10.0.0.2 "/usr/sbin/dmidecode -s system-product-name" On the cl...

clarification: Port Forward
I am missing a tiny detail on understanding a simple port forward: I want to forward just like the FAQ listed, via #ACTION SOURCE DEST PROTO DEST PORT DNAT net loc:192.168.1.3:22 tcp 1022 Which works just fine. Now I also tried this following type of rule, which I thought would work, but it did not. #ACTION SOURCE DEST PROTO DEST-PORT SOURCE-PORT ORIGINAL-DEST DNAT net loc:192.168.1.3 tcp 22 1022 123.123.123.123 Now I wondering...

Listing elements of a 4D array
Dear list, I'm having trouble to see how my elements on a 4 dimensional array are listed. For example, I generated the following array: junk.melt=melt(occ.data,id.var=c("Especie", "Site", "Rep", "Año"), measure.var="Pres") y=cast(junk.melt, Site ~ Rep ~ Especie ~ Año) Now, I want to be able to look at how my species (Especie) are listed, in

DNAT Security Hole?

How do I do that? In /etc/shorewall/rules: #ACTION SOURCE DEST PROTO DEST PORT DNAT net loc:192.168.1.3:22 tcp 1022 However, I am testing this before putting...

Very small numbers in hexadecimal notation parsed as zero
...sprintf() using the %a flag. The return value is incorrectly reported as 0 when coercing these numbers to double using as.double()/as.numeric(), as illustrated in the three examples below: as.double("0x1.00000000d0000p-987") # should be 7.645296e-298 as.double("0x1.0000000000000p-1022") # should be 2.225074e-308 as.double("0x1.f89fc1a6f6613p-974") # should be 1.23456e-293 The culprit seems to be the src/main/util.c:R_strtod function and in some cases, removing the zeroes directly before the 'p' leads to correct parsing: as.double("0x1.00000000...

Bizarre DNAT problem...
Ok, ive been pulling whats left of my hair out trying to figure this one out and I give up. I seemingly simple DNAT is not working. Below is a snippet from my rules file. DNAT net loc:192.168.1.1:22 tcp 2022 DNAT net loc:192.168.1.175:22 tcp 1022 Basically Im trying to forward port 1022 on my firewall to a machine on my local network. My firewall machine is 192.168.1.1 and if I telnet (from an external machine) to port 2022 I correctly get connected to ssh on my firewall. (This was a test that the rule was formed correctly) If I telnet...
