high cpu average load
Hello,
Running one asterisk server with below details.
Only SIP to SIP calls. No real time configuration, no recording, no voicemail, no IVR, no codec translation. Average CPU load varies between 4 to 30 for 150 to 200 concurrent calls and we start getting problem in call quality like delay in connectivity, voice breakage etc....

I'd want to know what results this program gives with different systems.
Please test and reply (but don't bother if someone already replied with
the same OS+result). I expect it to print:
- SMP kernels: "page size cut" once in a while
- UP (uniprocessor) kernels: Nothing
- The most important thing is that it never prints "broken

cannot use DVFS in xen 3.4, suggested way of adding cpufreq=dom0-kernel has been tried
Hello,
I want to use DVFS in xen. I use Fedora 8. The server supports DVFS when it
boots from Fedora 8 without xen. Then, I installed Xen 3.4 from source and
boots successfully. But the cpufreq directory is gone in the system. I
cannnot use DVFS. If I run xenpm get-cpufreq-xxx, it always reports "failed
to get xxx". I have googled a lot, but still cannot find the solution. The

Xen 3.2.1 - Win 2003/2008 Server 64-bit guests: cygwin bash builtin "test" crashes
Hi -
I have built a number of Windows based appliances under Xen 3.2.1. Each was created on an AMD based machine and includes a clean install of a Windows OS and cygwin. Each worked fine.
I then rsync'd the images to three different Xeon based machines, each running an identical version of Xen. On these machines, under the 64-bit OS's, the cygwin bash builtin test ("[")

Is there something broken in 1.4.2 that needs to be addressed? Any

Window Server 2003 will not run as paravirtualized?
Hello:
According to the Red Hat Virtualization Guide,
Windows Server 2003 32-bit will only run as
a fully virtualized guest on an AMD64 system.
I thought I have seen a lot of discussion about
running paravirtualized Windows on CentOS. Is
that a bad idea?

kvm in Centos 5.3
Hi All,
Is KVM support in CentOS 5.3 complete? That is, can a CentOS 5.3 system
host KVM VMs or does CentOS 5.3 only support being virtualized via KVM?
I ask because I installed KVM on a CentOS 5.3 host, but I can't find a
kvm module anywhere in /lib/modules/* (let alone the running kernel).

Embedded Question
A friend asked me to setup an embedded appliance with an RO root
for minimal maintenance to primarily stream shoutcast out to an
amp.
The only thing I knew that might do this is iMedia Linux, but the
project is practically dead with little to no activity. Is it possible
to do something like this with CentOS?
Doesn't seem to be much info on the /etc/sysconfig/readonly-root file.
Anyone know

Debugging/optimizing LAN/Fileserver Performance
Hi,
I do have one fileserver, which is compared to other systems slow when
transferring file through the lan.
The test I did get a transfer speed of about 70 - 80 MB/s. I copy files
by rsync or scp from a SSD disk to the servers ISCSI Storage and I
tested to copy to a serverside RAM disk.
I copy one big file of about 2/10 GB; 2 is to the RAM disk.
The point is, the mentioned one server just

Lineage Freya Engine.dll failed to initialise
Hello!
I'm kind of new to Linux so I'm in learning process. The thing keeping me tied to Windows is that I can't play the same games on Linux so I have been dual-booting it on my laptop. Recently I found out about Wine and decided to try it out.
I decided to install Lineage 2 using Wine. Before doing anything wanted to make sure that I know exactly what to do and how so I searched

Warnings compiling on OpenBSD 4.4 i386
Hi,
probably just nothing to worry about, but I get the following warnings
when building 1.1.7 on OpenBSD 4.4 on i386. If I remove the
--with-bsdauth config option, they all disappear. I won't use it anyway,
but maybe there are others.
