Possible bug in pxelinux 1.70 & 1.71
Hi!
We've been trying to use pxelinux to boot the Intel D815EGEW board (a
sub ATX board).
I've discovered what appears to be a bug in pxelinux. pxelinux
versions up to 1.67 work fine, but pxelinux 1.70 and 1.71 don't.
When it fails it shows this on the screen
Intel Base-Code, PXE-2.1 (build 083)
[loading kernel etc]
Loading ready.
Failed to free base memory, sorry...

incompatibilities between 0.90 and 0.99?
Maybe this is dumb, but I seem to be having problems reading a file saved in R
v. 0.99 into R 0.90.1 (in a different machine).
I did
>save(test1, file="test1.RData")
then I tried to read that data file in R 0.90.1:
>load("test1.RData")
Error in load("test1.RData") : restore file corrupted -- no data loaded
More info:

problem with heatmap.2 in package gplots generating non-finite breaks
I have written a wrapper for heatmap.2 called
heatmap.w.row.and.col.clust which auto-generates breaks using
breaks<-round((c(seq(from=(-20 * stddev), to=(20 * stddev))))/20,
digits = 2) #(stddev in this case = 2.5)
This has always worked well in the past but now I am getting an error
that non-finite breaks are being generated. Drilling down, it seems
that my wrapper is generating finite

I have released SYSLINUX 1.71 after fixing the total "brown-paper-bag"

Thank you!
Thank you very much for your help, your fuction runs on R without
any change, and the results are the same that your obtain with Splus,
but there still a small difference.
In SAS
W=0.960439
With your shapiro.wilk.test
W=0.9606107
But the p-values are almost the same.
Thank you very much for your help.

Hi all,
I'm new to R and am trying to create a dll in order to be able to use the "dyn.load" function with a fortran script. I have a windows OS, have installed perl and the Path is recognized. I have also installed R 1.70 including the src (source code) folder. But when I attempt to create the dll by excecuting "Rcmd SHLIB [-o autologdll] combo.f", in the windows

scp: Problem when source and destination are identical
If the source and destination file are identical, the receiving scp
truncates the file. On the sending end, read() returns 0, and garbage
is sent instead of actual data, and the receiving end puts it into the
file, which at least confuses the users.

SYSLINUX 1.72 released
Since I've gotten convinced the really serious PXELINUX/ISOLINUX bug in
1.71 got squashed, I have released 1.72.
Again, 1.72 is a bug fix release only. I have some additional rewrites
pending before I want to introduce features that use the new core code,
but let's make sure it gets usable again, first...

3Com PXE server
I posted this to the group last year, but the problem was not fixed so I
will give it another try.
I use 3Com's PXE server to deploy the Fedora Core boot disk to my clients
for an ftp install. I also have ghost boot disks, bios update disks, and a
video bios repair disk all using the 3Com PXE server. The problem is when I
try to boot a Linux kernel. With all versions of syslinux since 1.72

help
Hi all,
I have 2 questions:
1)How do I calculate the mean on an imported txt file? I've imported the
file below and that's what it looks like imported. How do I then calcuate
the mean, median, or mode on the column LeafArea using the desktop R
package?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks,

Inaccuracy in seq() function (PR#7503)

Enable vectorizer-maximize-bandwidth by default?
Hi,
I'm proposing to make vectorizer-maximize-bandwidth on by default for loop
vectorizer because it should generally help performance.
I've tested the performance impact on Intel sandybridge machine with
speccpu benchmarks:
