First hit on app takes a long time
So, I''ve deployed my first rails app, however I''m the only one hitting it for now. I''ve noticed that the first time I hit the app after some long period, it takes a really long time to respond (2-3 seconds). After that, it''s very fast. At first, I thought it might be my VPS "waking up" from some sleep state, but Rails does log the long load time

dynamically changing a form from POST/CREATE to PUT/UPDATE
For the life of me I can''t figure this one out, although I can''t find anyone else who''s attempted to do this, and probably with good reason. Context: blog using AJAX What I''m trying to do: when the user initially saves a blog entry, or when auto-saving, I want subsequent saves to not create a new blog entry Why I can''t just reload the partial: -

HTB and PRIO qdiscs introducing extra latency when output interface is saturated
Im using a Linux machine with standard pc hardware with 3 seperate PCI network interfaces to operate as a DiffServ core router using Linux traffic control. The machine is a P4 2.8ghz, 512mb RAM running fedora core 3 with the 2.6.12.3 kernel. All links and network interfaces are full duplex fast ethernet. IP forwarding is enabled in the kernel. All hosts on the network have their time sychronised

Thank you for responding. I think my problem is not (yet) with OPUS itself. Encoding at complexity 0 takes 1.6ms ( 4.342ms at complexity 10 !) and decoding takes 1.9ms. 3.5ms, out of my 4.096ms budget, is

Hi all ! If someone could give me a hint on how to proceed with the following i'd be very happy: I have a test setup on an nrf52832 (Cortex M4) in which I receive audio from a PDM microphone (64 sample frame) and pass it directly to an I2S device i.e. from ISR to ISR. With uncompressed audio this works just fine. Now I try to insert OPUS1.3 in the path but cannot make it work. The

uninitialized constant ActionController::Flash::FlashHash [NameError])
My application, a very simple general ledger, that worked very well until June 26 does not work any longer. It is used under Ubuntu 12.04 and I believe there was a Ruby update after that. What happens? When I try to start the appIication I get the following output in my web browser: ActionDispatch::Session::SessionRestoreError Session contains objects whose class definition isn''t

Rails 2.3.3 has a very serious performance problem
On my Ubuntu 8.04 64 bit desktop, I created an empty Rails project and from another machine, I used ab -n 10 http://210.77.27.169:3000/ to test the performance: =========================================== When I put rails 2.3.3 under vendor/rails: Server Software: WEBrick/1.3.1 Server Hostname: 210.77.27.169 Server Port: 3000 Document Path: / Document Length:

[PATCH v2 0/7] tests/qemu: Add program for tracing and analyzing boot times.
v1 was here: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2016-March/thread.html#00157 Not running the 'hwclock' command reduces boot times considerably. However I'm not sure if it is safe. See the question I posted on qemu-devel: http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.emulators.qemu/402194 At the moment, about 50% of the time is consumed by SeaBIOS. Of this, about ⅓rd is SGABIOS

[PATCH v3 0/11] tests/qemu: Add program for tracing and analyzing boot times.
Lots of changes since v2, too much to remember or summarize. Please ignore patch 11/11, it's just for my testing. Rich.
