New qemu source drop with improved kqemu module
I have uploaded a current source drop from the qemu subversion repository,
to the download area. Additionally, there is a new Kernel kqemu module
that will allow a 32-bit guest to run on a 64-bit host.
The current source base uses a different code generator from the orignial
Dyngen one. The new one is called "TCG" for "The Code Generator" and
is supposed to fix the

Howto add another disk storage
Hi all
What is the best strategy to add another storage to an existing virtual
mail system ?
Move some domains to the new storage and create symlinks ?
Switch to dovecot hashing ? But in this case what is the easy-east way
to migrate ?
Thanks for any suggestions or tips !

memory
To whom it may concern,
I seem to be encountering RAM problems using R. I am currently running R
2.2.0 in Windows XP version 2002. My computer has 4 GB of RAM. The
problem I am encountering is that R does not seem to allow me to obtain
more than 1.5GB of RAM as I construct various matrices.
I have already pre-allocated 3.5 GB of RAM as in the command line I entered

Is it possible to mod a Geforce GTX 560 graphics card into a Quadro?
Dear Gordan,
I have a Gigabyte Geforce GTX 560. Is it possible to mod it into a Quadro?
If it is possible, please give me the link with the list of steps to mod
it into a Quadro. Is it a simple process?
Thank you very much.

3Ware 9550SX-4LP Performance
I know there are a few 3Ware fans here and I was hoping to find some help. I
just built a new server using a 3Ware 9550SX-4LP with four disks in raid 5.
The array is fully initialized but I'm not getting the write performance I was
hoping for -- only 40 to 45MB/Sec.
3Ware's site advertises 300MB/Sec writes using 8 disks on the PCI Express
version of this card (the 9580 I think.)

cannot allocate memory
I am getting "Error: cannot allocate vector of size 197 MB".
I know that similar problems were discussed a lot already, but I
didn't find any satisfactory answers so far!
Details:
*** I have XP (32bit) with 4GB ram. At the time when the problem
appeared I had 1.5GB of available physical memory.
*** I increased R memory limit to 3GB via memory.limit(3000)
*** I did gs() and got

Multi-dbox storage space
Hi, I originally picked mdbox because I had the impression from reading
about it on the mailing list that it was more performant and that it
would conserve disc space.
But lately i found mailboxes have nearly double the storage as reported.
I mean, IMAP QUOTA reports around 900MB for one account that has over
2GB when I inspect the mail location of the user using the linux command

Update ports on 6.3 or update OS to 7.1(RC2) and update ports?
I have a machine where several of my installed applications are getting
way behind. It is not a mission critical server, but I need it to be
stable (I have all fairly old well supported hardware, nothing special).
Since updating and rebuilding all the ports is pretty much mandatory for
the upgrade to 7.x and I plan to take that path soon, would most people
consider 7.1RC2 stable enough for a

Lockup using stock r8169 on 4.8 in gigabit mode during heavy transfer on lan
I have no output in the logs, but /etc/init.d/network restart fixes the issue.
I am rsync/scp (10GB) data from one 100MB Full duplex host to an ASUS M3A78-EM
(RTL8111B/C). It locks up around the 1.5GB Tx mark.
If I ethtool -s eth0 autoneg off speed 100 duplex full it does not happen again.
Ideas?

reading large data
Hello,
I have trouble using read.table for flat files of larger than about
300MB on windows 2000. Any ideas of how to file a bug report? Is it a
known issue? I have three cuts of data, a 1%, 10% and 100% sample in
flat text files. The 100% sample is about 350MB. When I read the 1%
and 10% files, besides being slow, everything works. RAM footprint
appears to increase approximately 2x of text
