Transforming a string to a variable's name? help me newbie...
...ask R to retrieve trials that fit certain selection
criteria, so I use "subset", e.g.
tmptrialinfo <- subset(trialinfo, (Subject==24 & Filename=="v2msa8"))
The name of the dataframe / variable of an individual trial can be
obtained using:
paste("t",tmptrialinfo[1,2],tmptrialinfo[1,16],".gz",sep="")
Then I get a string:
"t24v2msa8.gz"
which is of the exact same name of the dataframe / variable of that
trial, which is:
t24v2msa8.gz
Can somebody tell me how can I change that string (obtained from
"paste()" above) to be...

[LLVMdev] Fwd: Re: [PATCH] [TABLEGEN] Do not crash on intrinsics with names longer than 40 characters
...hored through the web interface where no
discussion or reviewership information is apparent on the mailing list.
All we see in cases like this are a few unthreaded list posts by the
original author followed by an SVN revision number:
http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/pipermail/llvm-commits/Week-of-Mon-20140714/226166.html
For any patch that's submitted for review, especially in a core module
like tablegen, I think it's worth putting the review discussion in a
public place so we can keep track.

[libnbd PATCH] docs: Add libnbd-security(1) man page
Copies heavily after a similar addition recently made in nbdkit.
---
I'm not sure if .1 or .3 fits better for the man page. With nbdkit,
.1 made sense because 'nbdkit' is a standalone program; but with
libnbd, our only standalone is nbdsh, yet naming it nbdsh-security
seems off.

[PATCH] febootstrap-supermin-helper: Replace objcopy call for embedding init binary
...necessary to keep a list of known architectures.
The bin2s.pl script generates input for the GNU assembler which should
produce an object file that is equivalent to that produced by objcopy.
I have successfully tested the change on an amd64 Debian/unstable system.

[PATCH 0 of 2] Add configuration options to selectively disable S3 and S4 (V3)
...ince there is a general move towards retiring the hvm_info_table structure,
the first patch moves the acpi_enabled flag out of the hvm_info_table and into
a xenstore key (platform/acpi).
The second patch then introduces the acpi_s3 and acpi_s4 configuration
parameters to the xl config file (default=1). These result in population of
new platform/acpi_s3 and platform/acpi_s4 xenstore keys. hvmloader then reads
these keys to determine whether or not to include SSDTs containing the
_S3 and _S4 packages respectively.
