Dose gap source code has some "undefined" behavior according to some spec on this planet? Or it is compiler's fault for blindly mark any mul NSW? Thanks Shuxin

Using IVSHMEM with Libvirt
Hi, I am trying to create a VM with the IVSHMEM feature, and I specify the device using qemu command line argument in my XML by using the pass through tag as follows: <qemu:commandline> <qemu:arg value='-device ivshmem,size=2048M,shm=fd:/mnt/huge/map_1:0x0:0x40000000:/dev/zero:0x0:0x3fffc000:/var/run/.ivshmem_metadata_config_2:0x0:0x4000'/> </qemu:commandline> This seemingly does not work as I get this error: Internal error process exited while connecting to monitor: qemu-system-x86_64: -device ivshmem,size=2048M,shm=fd:/mnt/huge/map_1:0x0:0x...

IRBuilder constraints
...n the realm of ConstInt/GlobalVariable handling, more precisely: LLVM converts llvm::ConstantInt values to GlobalVariable addresses ad-hoc if I store a constant in a GlobalVariable, and it appears to me, that I can do nothing about it. Consider the following, shortened code: ... 0x18: r2 = memread(0x4000) 0x1C: r3 = memread(0x4004) 0x20: r4 = add(r2, r3) ... Gets translated to: %v0_18 = load i32, i32* inttoptr (i32 16384 to i32*), align 16384 %v0_20 = load i32, i32* inttoptr (i32 16388 to i32*), align 4 %v2_24 = add i32 %v0_20, %v0_18 which is absolutely fine, however, in another binary: ......

getelementptr inbounds with offset 0
...xed integer, but is actually a dangling pointer obtained previously from `malloc` (or `alloca` or whatever)? Is getelementptr inbounds` with offset 0 on such a pointer a NOP, or does it result in `poison`? And if that makes a difference, how does that square with the fact that, e.g., the integer `0x4000` could well be inside such an allocation, but doing `getelementptr inbounds` with offset 0 on that would fall under the first question above? Kind regards, Ralf
