quota on ext3 fs
...on the ext3 filesystem. When i use the command quotaon /dev/hdb2 (the partition with the ext3 fs) i get the message: quotaon: using /home/quota.user on /dev/hdb2: Invalid argument. I created the quota.user and quota.group files and set the permissions to 600. I use quota-2.oopre3-7a, e2fsprogs-1.20-0ext3, kernel 2.2.18 with the ext3-0.0.5e patch. Which are the steps to apply a Ext3 file system?
...g RedHat 6.2 (kernel 2.2.16-3) and Turbo Linux Cluster Server 6.0. I have NO SUCCESS in path my own kernel. I downloaded the following ext3 packages: ext3-0.0.2f.tar.gz (linux-2.2.16-3.kdb.diff , linux-2.2.16-3.ext3.diff ) e2fsprogs-1.20-0.WIP.i386.rpm e2fsprogs-1.20-0.WIP.src.rpm e2fsprogs-1.20-0ext3.i386.rpm e2fsprogs-devel-1.20-0.WIP.i386.rpm quota-2.00pre3-7a.i386.rpm quota-2.00pre3-7a.src.rpm I had applied the following steps: 1- I copied the linux-2.2.16-3.kdb.diff and linux-2.2.16-3.ext3.diff to /usr/src/linux-2.2.16/ directory and applied them: patch -p1 < linux-2.2.16-3.kdb.diff...

Undelete?
...leted there. So, no backups. But when I tried to find the deleted INODE with debugfs and lsdel It said "no files deleted". Is this the normal behaviour? Is there a possibility of getting the data back? The kernel I use is 2.2.17-6 from the RH beta-program, together with e2fsprogs-1.30-0ext3. bye, Andreas
