NT domain logon questions
Hi. Myself and a anti-Micro$oft companion tried to get NT domain logons working yesterday and seem pretty close, but not quite. Samba is 1.9.18alpha3, server is an Ultra-2 running SunOS 5.5.1. Encrypted passwords seem to be working, a la smbclient and mostly from NT, "mostly" because it *seemed* to be working but we did have some problems with home directories in smbpasswd changing

grid.arrange, grid.layout - legend, global y axis title
Hello, I created several plot with ggplot2 dev mode. Now I want to combine the plots in a grid e.g. 2x2 with a fixed size of the output. What I am doing at the moment is: grid.newpage() pushViewport(viewport(layout = grid.layout(nrow=2, ncol=2, widths = unit(c(7.5,6.5), "cm"), heights = unit(rep(5, 2), "cm")))) print(plot1, vp = viewport(layout.pos.row = 1,

More frames in one packet
...turns -1. After that, all frames should be decoded. This should be added to the docu! Bugreport: I tried using speex_bits_remaining() instead of checking the return value of speex_decoder_int() but this leads to an endless loop! Or can't this function be used in this case? -- NEU: FreePhone - 0ct/min Handyspartarif mit Geld-zur?ck-Garantie! Jetzt informieren: http://www.gmx.net/de/go/freephone

rid generation questions
Hello list, I have a few questions to ask... I am about to migrate from Samba 2 to 3 (3.5.9). I am going to use LDAP as backend in the future and came across something I don't understand. As far as I know the 'old' way to generate RIDs for users is to take their uidnumber, multiply it by two and add 1000. For computer accounts it would be 1001 instead of 1000. I am now trying to

special recursive filter
Hi, I have a question about a special recursive filter problem. What I have: - given variables: x: time series with rather randomly occuring '0' and '1' wait: non negative integer - a working but ineffectiv implementation (see below) How the implementation works (what I want): The filter should drill holes of distance 'wait' between the '1' in x, e.g. x =

Argument validation within functions
Hi, I just started with writing functions in R and so some questions popped up. I provide some values as argument to my function such as: function(a,b,c){} Now i want that the function first checks if the arguments are valid for the function. E.g argument "a" has to be a number in the range 0-1. How can that easily done? So far I have: a <- as.numeric(a) if(0 <= a &&

Extracting information from lm results (multiple model runs)
Just to inform: I posted that before in R-sig-ecology but as it might be interesting also for other useRs, I post it also to the general r-user list: Hello Alexandre, thank you very much. I also found another way to extract summarizing information from lm results over e.g. 1000 repeated model runs: results2 <- t(as.data.frame(results)) summary(results2) Although some questions popped up in
