Meetme codec translation and callerID library.
...w me to have internal phones renegotiate to G.711, with the external lines instead transcoding within asterisk. (runtime is more available than bandwidth). Also, does anyone know if there's a way to dynamically alter incoming Caller-IDs to add Caller ID text to them. ie. call comes in with ID 01234 567890 gets changed to "A Company" <01234 567890> ? This will be with a lot of numbers, so a pile of conditionals in the extensions.conf file wouldn't really be a good solution.

Issue with read.csv treatment of numerics enclosed in quotes (and a confession)
Dear Help-Rs,   I've been dealing with this problem for some time, using a work-around to deal with it. It's time for me to come clean with my ineptitude and seek a what has got to be a more streamlined solution from the Help-Rverse.   I regularly import delimited text data that contains numerics enclosed in quotes (e.g., "00765288071").  Thing is, for some of these data, I need

Are dashes OK in Domain Name?
I was browsing through the SAMBA workgroups defined here: E51-CAE, E51-WAAS, etc... everything looked fine (well, with the exception of subnet browsing) until I displayed the properties of the machines in the workgroups. Select a SAMBA host, right-click on the hostname and select 'Properties' from an NT4 machine displays the domain as "E51"; everything from the dash onward

Win7pro can't authenticate dcom identity
I have a Samba 3.4.7 PDC set up (Ubuntu 10.10/OpenLDAP) and have configured a Windows 7 Pro 64 bit workstation as a domain member. Logins and shares work without a hitch. I'm running into a problem with ArcGIS 10 Server on Windows using domain accounts for the services. ArcGIS post-install fails because it won't take the username/password combination of the domain account. I initially
