ARM/Thumb updates and some other minor tweaks
The attached patches are against the v0.114 release and cover some of the tweaks I made while playing about testing ARM and Thumb support. Please review and consider applying. Even with the patches, ARM dynamic linking doesn't seem to work and the Thumb test applications seem to have shaken out a Thumb bug in the 2.4.21-rmk2 kernel which I'm still trying to track down. Still more fun to

vfs fruit disk_free fails on tmsize overflow with macOS Time Machine
Thanks torch ? I tried those suggestions but nothing changed. I did however manage to find an existing bug which matches my symptoms: https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13622 Fortunately it mentions a fix, but that was never implemented, so I created a new branch from v4-11-test on the gitlab shadow copy and tried the fix there. After compiling, my tests on Raspbian show that this does

[PATCH 13/21] i386 Gdt page isolation
Make GDT page aligned and page padded to support running inside of a hypervisor. This prevents false sharing of the GDT page with other hot data, which is not allowed in Xen, and causes performance problems in VMware. Rather than go back to the old method of statically allocating the GDT (which wastes unneded space for non-present CPUs), the GDT for APs is allocated dynamically. Signed-off-by:

rc.d/sysctl fails to parse sysctl.conf
Hello, I tried to get my sound working, and long story short: rc.d/sysctl parses sysctl.conf wrongly if there are sysctls of the form mib=val1=val2 which is what you need for sound. For reference I needed/wanted dev.hdaa.4.nid25_config=as=1,seq=15 dev.hdaa.4.nid31_config=as=1 I believe the following patch would address the incorrect parsing: --- /etc/rc.d/sysctl.old 2013-02-27

2 (very old) bugs?
Hi everybody, Is someone can confirm me that there are 2 bugs never fixed: - first in the stat command. Only with the -x option. If you execute stat -x on /tmp or /usr/bin/passwd parameters for example, the numeric representation of mode is wrong. The "special" bits are always 0. No suid-bit, no sticky bit! - Second. Because of a missing suid-bit on the newgrp command, this
