Hello,
I am trying to complete a PCA on a set of standardized ring widths from 8
different sites (T10, T9, T8, T7, T6, T5, T3, and T2).
The following is a small portion of my data:

nested anova
Hello all,
Can any of you R gurus help me out? I?m not all that great at stats to
begin with, and I?m also learning the R ropes (former SAS user).
Here?s what I need help with? I have a nested sample design and ran a
nested anova, but I don?t know how to interpret the results
habitat (four different types) is nested in site (three types), and site is

R-squared with Intercept set to 0 (zero) for linear regression in R is incorrect
Hi,
I have been using lm in R to do a linear regression and find the slope
coefficients and value for R-squared. The R-squared value reported by R
(R^2 = 0.9558) is very different than the R-squared value when I use the
same equation in Exce (R^2 = 0.328). I manually computed R-squared and the
Excel value is correct. I show my code for the determination of R^2 in R.

Early Tail Duplication Inefficiency
I have a file for which clang-7 takes over 2 hours to compile with -O3. For the same file, clang-5 takes less than 2 minutes (which is also high IMHO). I will try to create a test case (but it is pretty simple, it only contains initializations of many arrays of structs where the structs are of the following form:

Tukey's HSD

I am trying the get the standard errors of multiple comparisons using
Tukey's HSD. These are not reported by the function TukeyHSD. When I apply
the following code to the data, which I store as PROLE4.TXT, several
