R and Poisson
Hi, I wonder if anyone can answer the following or point me in the direction of
how to obtain answers to the questions. Below is Output from R and further down
are the questions raised and explanation of the study.
Output from R:
glm(formula = CB95TO00 ~ URB + INC, family = poisson)
Deviance Residuals:

how to extract from list
Hi all,
I have a list of 20000 data, and the list look like below. I wonder what is
the simplest way to extract 'kappa' value (or 'xi' or 'alpha' for the
matter) from each of the data. How can I simply code it without having to
change the list to a dataframe first? Many thanks!

Interpretation of residual variance components and scale parameters in GLMMs
Dear R-listers,
I am working with generalized linear mixed models to quantify the
variance due to two nested random factors, but have hit a snag in the
interpretation of variance components. Despite my best efforts with
Venables & Ripley 2002, Fahrmeir & Tutz 2001, R-help archives, Google,
and other eminent sources (i.e. local R gurus), I have not been able
to find a definitive answer

[LLVMdev] 2.1 Pre-Release Available (testers needed)
LLVMers,
The 2.1 pre-release (version 1) is available for testing:
http://llvm.org/prereleases/2.1/version1/
I'm looking for members of the LLVM community to test the 2.1
release. There are 2 ways you can help:
1) Download llvm-2.1, llvm-test-2.1, and the appropriate llvm-gcc4.0
binary. Run "make check" and the full llvm-test suite (make
TEST=nightly report).
2) Download
