ECDF, distribution of Pareto, distribution of Normal
Hello all, I would like to plot the emperical CDF, normal CDF and pareto CDF in the same graph and I amusing the following codes. "z" is a vector and I just need the part when z between 1.6 and 3. plot(ecdf(z), do.points=FALSE, verticals=TRUE, xlim=c(1.6,3),ylim=c(1-sum(z>1.6)/length(z), 1)) x <- seq(1.6, 3, 0.1) lines(x,pgpd(x, 1.544,0.4373,-0.2398), col="red") y

Overdispersion with binomial distribution
I am attempting to run a glm with a binomial model to analyze proportion data. I have been following Crawley's book closely and am wondering if there is an accepted standard for how much is too much overdispersion? (e.g. change in AIC has an accepted standard of 2). In the example, he fits several models, binomial and quasibinomial and then accepts the quasibinomial. The output for residual

[LLVMdev] 2.2 Prerelease available for testing
LLVMers, The 2.2 prerelease is now available for testing: http://llvm.org/prereleases/2.2/ If anyone can help test this release, I ask that you do the following: 1) Build llvm and llvm-gcc (or use a binary). You may build release (default) or debug. You may pick llvm-gcc-4.0, llvm-gcc-4.2, or both. 2) Run 'make check'. 3) In llvm-test, run 'make TEST=nightly report'. 4) When
