adding rows to table
Greetings everyone, I'm trying to add a specific table or a specific number of rows (e.g.44) to a table with no success. This is my basic table > head(dataA) year plot spp prop.B DCA1 DCA2 DCA3 DCA4 1 2000 1 a1 0.031079 -0.0776 -0.0009 0.0259 -0.0457 2 2000 1 a2 0.968921 -0.0448 0.1479 -0.1343 0.1670 3 2000 2 a1 0.029218

ARIMA standard error
Hi, Can anyone explain how the standard error in arima() is calculated? Also, how can I extract it from the Arima object? I don't see it in there. > x <- rnorm(1000) > a <- arima(x, order = c(4, 0, 0)) > a Call: arima(x = x, order = c(4, 0, 0)) Coefficients: ar1 ar2 ar3 ar4 intercept -0.0451 0.0448 0.0139 -0.0688 0.0010 s.e.

12th Root of a Square (Transition) Matrix
Dear R-tisans, I am trying to calculate the 12th root of a transition (square) matrix, but can't seem to obtain an accurate result. I realize that this post is laced with intimations of quantitative finance, but the question is both R-related and broadly mathematical. That said, I'm happy to post this to R-SIG-Finance if I've erred in posting this to the general list. I've

Set axis limits in mixtools plot
Hello, Can the x and y axis limits be specified in a density plot with the mixtools package for a finite mixture model? Uncommenting the xlim2/ ylim2 lines in the plot command below generates 'not a graphical parameter' warnings (and does not change the axis settings), and uncommenting the xlim/ylim lines generates a 'formal argument "ylim" matched by multiple actual

aov and non-categorical variables
It is unclear to me how aov() handles non-categorical variables. I mean it works and produces results that I would expect, but I was under impression that ANOVA is only defined for categorical variables. In addition, help(aov) says that it "call to 'lm' for each stratum", which I presume means that it calls to lm() for every group of the categorical variable, however I

[LLVMdev] 2.2 Prerelease available for testing
LLVMers, The 2.2 prerelease is now available for testing: http://llvm.org/prereleases/2.2/ If anyone can help test this release, I ask that you do the following: 1) Build llvm and llvm-gcc (or use a binary). You may build release (default) or debug. You may pick llvm-gcc-4.0, llvm-gcc-4.2, or both. 2) Run 'make check'. 3) In llvm-test, run 'make TEST=nightly report'. 4) When

[LLVMdev] 2.1 Pre-Release Available (testers needed)
LLVMers, The 2.1 pre-release (version 1) is available for testing: http://llvm.org/prereleases/2.1/version1/ I'm looking for members of the LLVM community to test the 2.1 release. There are 2 ways you can help: 1) Download llvm-2.1, llvm-test-2.1, and the appropriate llvm-gcc4.0 binary. Run "make check" and the full llvm-test suite (make TEST=nightly report). 2) Download
