Retain parts of a matrix
Hi all,
I'm working to apply a function that will generate a matrix of results only
when a specific criteria is met.
I want my final results to be a matrix with both the values that meet the
criteria (the results of the function), and those that to do in the same
positions in the matrix (the original numbers).
Here's a sample of what I would like to do:

Removing Bad Data
I created a couple of timeSeries objects - when I was merging them , I got an
error.
Looking at the data , I see that one of the time series has

Initial values of the parameters of a garch-Model
Dear all,
I'm using R 2.8.1 under Windows Vista on a dual core 2,4 GhZ with 4 GB
of RAM.
I'm trying to reproduce a result out of "Analysis of Financial Time
Series" by Ruey Tsay.
In R I'm using the fGarch library.
After fitting a ar(3)-garch(1,1)-model

speex_encode_int performance iphone4 + iOS5
Hi,I'm having performance issues encoding with speex on an iphone4 + iOS5. The same code yields excellent results on iPad2 + iOS5, Mac OS X 10.6 as well as Windows 7. The call to speex_encode_int is takes 0.0065 to complete. Because encoding is so latent the receiver incurs underruns.
Here is my speex setup:

I have written code to loop through all 22283 genes in the Hgu-133A and
apply coxph on survival data.
However, I don't know how to work with the result for each gene:

'anova.gls' in 'nlme' (PR#13567)
There is a bug in 'anova.gls' in the 'nlme' package (3.1-90). The=20
bug is triggered by calling the function with a single 'gls' object=20
and specifying the 'Terms' argument but not the 'L' argument:

iphone connection problem
Hi, I recently changed from uw imap to dovecot on the sound recommendation of a friend and have mostly succeeded in getting all of my clients up and running, but am really stuck with the iPhone which is failing to make connections. False alarm. For some reason that I have not yet been able to figure out, these tests run significantly more slowly when I run them during the daytime, which I did for that run. I checked a few of the worst regressions reported here and they all recovered in subsequent
