dovecot auth using 100% CPU
Every few days I find that dovecot auth is using all my CPU. This is from dovecot 2.2.13, I've just upgraded to 2.2.18 strace -r -p 17956 output: Process 17956 attached 0.000000 lseek(19, 0, SEEK_CUR) = -1 ESPIPE (Illegal seek) 0.000057 getsockname(19, {sa_family=AF_LOCAL, NULL}, [2]) = 0 0.000043 epoll_ctl(15, EPOLL_CTL_ADD, 19, {EPOLLIN|EPOLLPRI|EPOLLERR|EPOLLHUP,

dovecot auth using 100% CPU
What do you see in the logs? My guess is that someone is trying a brute force auth against you, > -----Original Message----- > From: dovecot [mailto:dovecot-bounces at dovecot.org] On Behalf Of Edward > Betts > Sent: domingo, 21 de Junho de 2015 10:42 > To: dovecot at dovecot.org > Subject: dovecot auth using 100% CPU > > Every few days I find that dovecot auth is using

Bug 6870 resurfaced in Samba 4.2.10
According to this bugzilla entry, bug 6870 has been fixed as of at least version 3.5: https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6870 However, I assert that it is present in 4.2.10, which ships with Debian Jessie. On my home network (IPv4 and IPv6), a box with Samba 4.2.10 with IPv6 disabled (via sysctl), will fail to contact a DC because the IPv6 connect fails immediately before the v4

Time delaying (or time lagging)
Hello everyone, I have problem with time delaying on my CentOS powered server. I have tried to set time in BIOS and in OS (with saving time to BIOS), but time still delaying, so after month is about five minutes delayed. In past I was using this box with Windows and there wasn?t this time problem, but I cant warrant, that there are no hardware issues. So I was decided, that easiest way to fix

Bug 6870 resurfaced in Samba 4.2.10
Hi, So I did some digging into the source code, and I think I've found the issue. Around line 120 of source3/libads/cldap.c: for (i=0; i<num_servers; i++) { NTSTATUS status; status = cldap_socket_init(state->cldap, NULL, /* local_addr */ state->servers[i], &state->cldap[i]); if (tevent_req_nterror(req, status)) { return tevent_req_post(req, ev);

Saving files with MS Word to samba3 server is very slow!
Hi! I'm currently hunting a strange problem and looking for help! I have a samba3 fileserver (currently samba-3.0.20b, but problem can be reproduced with samba-3.0.7, but _not_ with samba2 like 2.2.8a), and I see performance problems when writing files with MS word 2002 SP3 from a NT4.0 (SP6a) workstation. Saving even the smallest file takes more than 10 seconds! Copying files with Windows

[EXTERNAL] SNMP shutdown timing out
Is NUT using the same SNMP v3 user as your SNMP Set or a different one? If it is a different one (e.g. an SNMP v1 or v2c string) does that user / community string have read/write access? tcpdump to listen for packets across UDP 161 is one way to check what is actually being sent. Thank you, David Zomaya Tripp Lite ________________________________ From: Nut-upsuser

Poor creat/delete files performance
Hi, We did some performance test and found the create/delete files performance of btrfs is very poor. The test is that we create 50000 files and measure the file-create time first, and then delete these 50000 files and measure the file-delete time. (The attached file is the reproduce program) The result is following: (Unit: second) Create file performance BtrFS Ext4 Total times:

connect to it - wait about 2 minutes and then get 'network is busy' message. I suspect that my problems may lie somewhere in the multiple domains / subnetting areas, but I can't see where.
