Unable to POST after suspend
Hi,
I just tried the live CD for CentOS 5.0 on a desktop computer and
decided to see if suspend worked. It seems it did, but I'm unable to
start the machine again.
It's a DIY system with an Asus K8V-X motherboard[1], an AMD Clawhammer
3200+ and 1 GB of Kingston ECC RAM. The system has been perfectly stable
despite being utterly abus...

Question about ggplot2 and stat_smooth
I'm interested in creating a graphic -like- this:
c <- ggplot(mtcars, aes(qsec, wt))
c + geom_point() + stat_smooth(fill="blue", colour="darkblue", size=2,
alpha = 0.2)
but I need to show 2 sets of bands (with different shading) using 5%,
25%, 75%, 95% limits that I specify and where the heavy blue line is the
median. I don't understand how to do this with ggplot2. What I am doing
currently is to generate 'boxplots' (with 5%, 25%, 75%, 95% limit...

ACPI reboot-issue (CentOS 4)
Hi all,
I'm trying to troubleshoot my way thru a ACPI-issue on several machines
with the Asus P5N32-E SLI motherboard (S775, Nvidia 680i chipset)
http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=3&l2=11&l3=397&l4=0&model=1459&modelmenu=1
This is CentOS 4 x86_64, and appears on all tested kernels, including

CentOS on the Asus Eeepc ...
We talked earlier on IRC about the Asus Eeepc
I think the idea was to start a wiki page with at least informations
regarding the Eeepc.
So here it is : http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/Laptops/Asus/Eeepc (not
linked from the CentOS on Laptops wiki page yet though , still a draft ;-) )
I had to modify the installer initrd.img to include the atl2.ko module
for the wired nic to install from my local

hardware sizing for a zfs-based system?
...s-platform projects), and a video server

Right now, the aforementioned run on two separate machines, but I''m
planning to consolidate them into a single Xen-based server. One idea I
have is to host a Xen-server on this same machine - that is, an
OpenSolaris-based Dom0 serving ZFS-based volumes to the DomU guest
machines. But if I go this way, then I''d be looking at 4-socket Opteron
mobo to use with AMD''s just released quad-core CPUs and tons of memory.
My biggest concern with this approach is getting PSUs large enough to
power it all - if...
