samba - Oct 2024 - Subdomain in Samba DC

Hello,

Does Samba support a forest of domains as it is implemented in Windows
Active Directory. A separate server that manages a subdomain, for example,
sub.domain.example.

I found an answer to a similar question in the email message from 19 Jun 19
2015 and would like to clarify if this information is relevant?

No, Samba does not support subdomains.
