We build samba from source code. This server has a build of one of the latest versions installed. Some servers use Ubuntu 22.04, there is a similar problem. The domain uses Samba builds of the same version on all controllers. ??, 22 ???. 2024 ?., 14:31 Rowland Penny via samba <samba at lists.samba.org>:> On Thu, 22 Aug 2024 13:49:24 +0500 > Dinar Yulm via samba <samba at lists.samba.org> wrote: > > > > What do you mean by 'LDAP Samba processes' ? > > > > LDAP server pre-forked workers. > > > > > What are the actual commands that you are running ? > > > > Some graphical utilities of Windows Server, for example: Active > > Directory Users and computers, ADSI, EDIT and others (There are no > > problems connecting these utilities to Windows servers with a similar > > database). > > > > > What OS is this ? > > > > Debian 9 Stretch > > > > Debian Stretch is EOL and used (if I remember correctly) Samba 4.5.16 > The latest Samba is 4.20.4 and 4.21.0 is nearing release. > > If you are hitting a bug, then you have no chance of getting it fixed, > indeed it may already have been fixed in a later version, so I suggest > you upgrade both Samba and your distro version. > > Rowland > > > -- > To unsubscribe from this list go to the following URL and read the > instructions: https://lists.samba.org/mailman/options/samba >

I also have to ask, why are you still using Stretch, this went EOL 4 years ago and the LTS support ended 2 years ago, it isn't supported in any way. If you are using Debian, then there is now no reason to build Samba yourself, use Bookworm and install Samba from backports, this will, at present, get the latest version of Samba 4.20.4 Rowland
