The 'browseable' parameter does not refer to the printers, it refers to the 'printers' share itself and you do not want that showing on a browser, which explains why the added separate printer is shown. So why isn't Samba showing your cups printers ? One reason could be that cups is starting after Samba and hence there are no cups configurations for Samba to create printers from. Rowland

In my case I start CUPS at boot, and smb and nmb manually after connect to it via ssh Furthermore if I stop samba, then restart CUPS and start samba, the printers are not listed until I print a job on a fake printer ... ... or,?as Andreas shows here : https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2263500#c9 I run this command: # rpcclient ncacn_np:localhost -c enumprinters -Usomesmbuser In your comment he suggests also the following hypothesis:> It looks like listing shares with smbclient doesn't trigger an rpc > call.
