Proxmox VM with debian 12. The only difference is that I created
it from a debian 12 cloud-init image. I think that might be it.

- samba 4.19.3 from Michael repo
- bind9 9.18.x

Now I'm setting up a new VM with debian 12 in the normal way I've always
done it.
