samba - Oct 2023 - smbclient static build

hello, has anyone managed to compile static smbclient? it's a question that
is asked from time to time but there are never comprehensive answers: if yes
how, no, too complex :)

It may or may not be possible, but if it is then the command should be:

./configure --bundled-libraries=ALL --nonshared-binary=smbclient
make -j
