I'm trying to upgrade a test samba server from buster/4.14 to bullseye, using Louis repo. I've verified that repo are not empty, but dependencies are in very bad mess: root at vdcacpn1:~# LANG=C apt-get install samba python3-samba samba-common-bin samba-libs Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: python3-samba : Depends: python3-ldb (>= 2:2.1.0) but it is not going to be installed Depends: python3 (>= 3.9~) but 3.7.3-1 is to be installed samba : Depends: python3 (>= 3.9~) but 3.7.3-1 is to be installed samba-libs : Depends: python3-ldb (>= 2:2.1.0) but it is not going to be installed E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages. I've tried to upgrade to 4.15, but repo are empty. 4.16 are not empty, but still dependencies are in a bad mess. Louis, what happen? There are some alternatives? Thanks. -- Tutti siamo hacker. Rowland mentioned something in one of the other threads about what might be going on with Louis, but overall the general feedback seems to be the repo not being updated much further. I'm not sure of the surrounding circumstances, but I do hope he is well. I hope this helps! Regards, Ralph
