samba - Jun 2022 - WSDD and Avahi

Sorry, I tried WSDD first before installing avahi, and the post was made 
before trying out Avahi.

How would I setup Avahi and WSDD so that the Caja file manager can refer 
to the Windows 7 computer by its network name?

Have you checked if Windows 7 has Network Discovery turned on ?

Sorry again.

I forgot to mention that the Mint box can refer to my mother's Windows 
10 computer by its name if coupled with the .local notation.
