[Samba] Point about Point'n'Print and PrintNightmare...
> I've tried to add my print servers to the list in both gpo (restriction and > package)....and does not work. ;-( Windows (7 and 10) say me that a policy prevent me to install the printer for that server. I've tried to insert server name with proper name (vdmsv1; domainless and domainful) or with the cname/alias i use normally to install printer (cupssv; again domainless and domainful), but still does not work. I've tried with GPRESULT and policy seems correctly applied. There's some way to debug this? Thanks. -- Il voto e` l'orgasmo della democrazia (Marco Pio Bravo)

Hi Marco ! +1 for this. I think I've tried all possible configuration with this GPO. Still same message about a policy preventing me to install driver. Note : this occurs on a SHARP driver, that previously worked. -- Olivier

Mandi! Olivier BILHAUT via samba In chel di` si favelave...> Still same message about a policy preventing me to > install driver. Note : this occurs on a SHARP driver, that previously > worked.A little note: i've had EVER some drive that DOES NOT WORK in P'n'P mode, someone explicitly (does not load server side), some other in some subtle way (load server side, but does not install on client). I'm just working on installing client side all my drivers need, via WPKG. -- Does anybody here remember Vera Lynn? (Pink Floyd)
