Hi, today I test the downgrade from 4.15.0 to 4.14.8: with version 4.14.8 the login problem is not present? The long Version: baseline situation was a fresh new debian bullseye Installation L.P.H. van Belle Repositories bullseye-samba415 main DNS bind9; every DNS test is working well, on the Samba4 DC and on the Windows Systems; signed chrony Timeserver ...; with this installation, Samba Version 4.15.0: Windows Server 20219 and Windows 10 same result: No Problem to join the Domain - after the first reboot - authenticate tells then that the username or password is wrong Today I changed the repository from samba415 to samba414 and do a downgrade with aptitude and apt witch work in two steps: first steps go to 4.13.5 second to 4.14.8 For example: Entpacken von samba (2:4.14.8+dfsg-0.1bullseye1) ?ber (2:4.13.5+dfsg-2) but with no errors. On the same Windows 10 System, on which I get before authentication failure, now, with 4.14.8. instantly the login works, as domain administrator as good as domain user If 4.15.1 is out I will test it the same way regards Am Samstag, dem 23.10.2021 um 16:35 +1300 schrieb Andrew Bartlett via samba:> Samba 4.15.1 is due out shortly, or you can apply the patch. > > Further confirmation that the patch addresses the issue is most > appreciated. > > Andrew Bartlett > > On Fri, 2021-10-22 at 23:26 +0200, Gerd Peter via samba wrote: > > oh Hi Louis, > > > > first: Thank you for your Work, that's great! > > (OT: and greeting to Stefan K. whose book is right next to me ;-) > > > > since I work with Proxmox, I take a snapshot and try both: one in > > reserve > > for the update to 4.15.1, one for test purposes for the downgreate to > > 4.14..
