Hi all, I'm using Samba with roaming profiles enabled, but now I need some users with roaming profile disabled. I'm trying to use pdbedit to disable the profile path with the command "pdbedit -p= test" but I realise that never changes after the execution of the command: ===============================================================root at server:/tmp# pdbedit -L -v test|grep Profile Profile Path: \\fileserver\profiles\test root at server:/tmp# pdbedit -p= test ldb_wrap open of idmap.ldb Unix username: test NT username: Account Flags: [U ] User SID: S-1-5-21-2240515488-3579295645-3631671805-1136 Primary Group SID: S-1-5-21-2240515488-3579295645-3631671805-513 Full Name: Test User Home Directory: \\fileserver\users\test HomeDir Drive: H: Logon Script: Profile Path: \\fileserver\profiles\test Domain: Account desc: Workstations: Munged dial: Logon time: Fri, 15 Sep 2017 06:00:34 CEST Logoff time: 0 Kickoff time: Thu, 14 Sep 30828 03:48:05 CET Password last set: Thu, 26 Dec 2019 16:37:11 CET Password can change: Thu, 26 Dec 2019 16:37:11 CET Password must change: never Last bad password : 0 Bad password count : 0 Logon hours : FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF root at server:/tmp# pdbedit -L -v test|grep Profile Profile Path: \\fileserver\profiles\test =============================================================== Could you help me to understand where I'm wrong, please? Thank you very much! Bye
If you use Samba as an AD you should use GPOs to manage roaming profiles.
