samba - Jun 2021 - [OT?] Point'n'Print and Brother drivers: feature locked!?

Probably this is OT, but really i don't know where hit my head...


I've buyied two Brother printers (a laser one and a color MFP); as for
other printers, i've loaded the drivers to print$ folder
(Point'n'Print), and users can connect printer.

BUT the 'Administrator' feature is enabled and locked, see for example
here:

And, even from an user with administrative right, there's no way to
disable it, in 'user preferences' and also in 'default
preferences'
(Advanced -> Preferences).


So, for example, i cannot print more than a page, or for the color MFP,
i cannot print in color.


Someone have some clue? Thanks.

We should really know more about this server..

In advanced.. I also had in older samba versions some printing problems. 
Some drivers just wont work.. 
Now, i upgraded my print server to 4.13.9 (and few days later to 4.14.5 )
That fixed my problems, but .. Before you change anything. 
Post the output of the script first. 

How did you upload it, from CLI or Windows Printer management.
