samba - May 2021 - Fwd: AD DC generating a lot of dns requests

Alright, so making a seperate subdomain for my domain controller seems like
a really good idea (going on the todo list ;)).

Is there any way for me to find out which (probably all PCs) pc is the
"original" source of these dns requests? (Is there a seperate log, or
can i
enable displaying it?)

I will probably have to rejoin all pcs into the Domain when setting it up
in the subdomain, could this cause problems for domain accounts on these
devices/will they still recognize that its the same domain afterall?
Or will setting up the subdomain and changing the samba config file be
enough?

You cannot change the domain name, so you will have to create a new one. 
This will also entail joining the clients to the new domain and recreate 
all your users and groups.
