In the case of a DC, shouldn't your [global] section contain the following?

vfs objects = acl_xattr

If you do that, it will turn off the dfs_samba4 vfs object, the defaults 
on a DC are 'vfs objects = dfs_samba4 acl_xattr'

Imediately after I pressed "Send", I remembered that in the case of a
DC
acl_xattr is enabled by default, and does not need to be manually specified
in smb.conf.
