Quick question, the Samba wiki suggests handling time sync on a Samba domain controller with either ntp or chrony, but are there any issues using systemd-timesyncd on a DC instead? For example: On DC1: [Time] NTP=ntp.zaf.ca And then on a domain member do: [Time] NTP=DC1.ad.example.com DC2.ad.example.com FallbackNTP = ntp.zaf.ca Thanks, -JM

For example:Yes. Samba need a 'NTP server', because NTP is a standard part in Microsoft Active Directory set of protocols. And systemd-timesyncd is a NTP client... not a server... -- dott.
