Hi, I have a problem that sometimes when I try to connect from windows or linux joined to domain (DNS set to samba internal DNS) I don't get destination IP address. It looks, that the internal samba DNS asks DNS forwarder but doesn't get a reply within expected time and assumes that the host doesn't exist and tells it to the client. Next the reply comes, it caches it, but the client got the reply already. If I then do ipconfig /flushdns on windows and try to connect again - it works. I tried to find out an explicit timeout in source of the internal samba DNS, but couldn't. Could somebody tell me where it is, so I could increase the timeout? This is a rare behaviour - I suspect the forwarding DNS doesn't have the address cached and has to resolve the query and it sometimes takes too long. Best regards, Olaf Fr?czyk -- NAVI Sp. z o.o.
